  1. I really like B.F. Skinner's quote about being happy, informed, skillful, well behaved and productive. It is very inclusive.

Erikson's quote about not mistaking a child for his symptom is very astute and makes you wonder how many children have been labelled because someone is considering their symptoms.

  2. Hey Tammy. I like B.F. Skinner's quote. Education is certainly what survives when you have learned so many things. I try to be happy and informed daily...

  3. I would love to stencil this quote (“Children love and want to be loved and they very much prefer the joy of accomplishment to the triumph of hateful failure. Do not mistake a child for his symptom.”) on the wall above my parent board. I love seeing children encouraged and praised with love instead of put down for trying. Nothing is harder to watch than seeing a proud child show their parents letters they have written and hear a parents say something like "its not very good" or "it does not look like the letter___". Sometime I feel like parents forget their children are just learning and perfection does not just happen.
